We've got 220 members and no moderator. That means no adult supervision. As much as that sounds like a good thing, it's necessary. Especially when there are so many people abusing Tribe, lately. I.E.: advertising spammers posting links to paid sites or cross-posting links to pages containing tons of references to their products just to up their scores on search engines.
I would like to propose we elect one. Would anyone like the responsibility of moderating this "then of deves?" (It's a play on den of thieves... deviants... never mind... I'll stop now... this is me... stopping...)
All we need do is come to a consensus and then e-mail the Tribe chieftains to make the change.
What say you?!
Love and light, dear ones.

Re: Moderator madness and the geeks in the hizz-ouse...
Sun, July 29, 2007 - 12:21 AMI wouldnt mind becoming moderator of this tribe. I own a PC repair/Sales & Web/Graphic Design Shop here in Hawaii.
PC Hardware is my Specialty and has been my focus for about 15 years. I build Custom Desktop and Server Systems for my clients here and think that it would be a good tribe to moderate. Let me know if anyone agrees/opposes me to be the moderator.
If anyone has any more detailed questions about me or my background, feel free to contact me directly through tribe. -

Re: Moderator madness and the geeks in the hizz-ouse...
Sat, August 11, 2007 - 7:18 AMOkay, then the nominations are in... both of them! I was going to volunteer for the job, if no one else wanted it, but Ryan sounds like a good choice to me. Better a computer technician than a systems administrator, I think.
I'll send the message to the Tribe.net gods and ask for their blessings... or wrath.
Thanks.
