Okay, so here at work I've just replaced the motherboards in two systems that came back very sick. I'm starting to suspect grounding with the ATX12V connectors from the power supply. I've seen covers on those things in some packaged systems (Dell and HP). Does anyone know what they're actually called (I've tried looking up ATX12V covers, four pin ATX covers, etc.)?
My curse is that we're using some older ISA motherboards that have too many exposed fan connections and USB adapter plugs exposed. Somethings gotta give! Or get ripped off, covered over or bent out of harms way.
Enough venting. Find my happy place... find my happy place... reboot.
Love and light, dear ones.

Re: Really silly question...
Tue, June 12, 2007 - 6:35 PMOK... That's really rare... Is the case tight enough and jostled around enough to allow the floating free power connector to come in contact with one of the ground sources? Or, am I missing the point completely?
